Do you have a technical question and not sure who to ask?

Silicone sponge and foam are engineered materials with tremendous versatility.  Silicone is different from other materials because the molecular structure consists of silicon and oxygen bonds instead of carbon to carbon bonds.  The silicon-oxygen bonds are also found in other high temperature material like sand, quartz and glass.  Often times it is a combination of characteristics that result in silicone being the material of choice.
